Casa Palmeras

The Casa Palmeras Apartments were designed by Paul Revere Williams in the late 1920s as a high-end apartment for visitors and film stars who wanted a more permanent stay during the “season”. It was built in the Spanish Revival Style with thick adobe-like walls for coolness, hand-made red-tiled roof, extensive wrought iron details, mismatched chimneys, imposing archways and a picturesque bell tower. In 1986, the City of Palm Springs created the Las Palmas Business District, with Casa Palmeras Apartments as the important anchor. Kicking off the massive restoration project with the first of 12 units, as well as the landscape design for the pool and patio areas.
